Concerts
Each of the five concerts presented each season
features new and challenging repertoire. The
Halloween Concert features costumes and
decorations to go along with modern and classical
music.
The Holiday Concert highlights music of the season
and a special musical guest. Last season, Professor
Louie and the Crowmatix helped us give our audience
a Rock and Roll Holiday!
In February, Let’s Dance music provides our audience
members a chance to participate with professional
ballroom dancers. Last season, the VYSO played the
music of Gershwin, Berlin, Porter, and more. This
season, waltzes and tangos will fill the theater.
In April, hard-core classical music reigns during our
Concerto Competition Concert. Members audition
and the best are chosen to star in concert with the
orchestra.
The final concert of the season is a Fun Finale
showcasing movie scores as well as other entertaining
music and featuring our alumni!
